But Without the Corporate Media...
Some alternatives you may or may not know of could be the answer to your "news needs".
I haven’t purposely watched or listened to any corporate media for years (since about 2003 or so). Like many of you, I became addicted to the so-called “Mainstream” media when 9/11 happened and spent about 2 years switching back and forth between Fox and CNN (and even went so far as to tune-in to PBS) gobbling up everything I could about 9/11. It was non-stop. I was an addict. I’m not sure what broke me of this yearning desire to stay in fear of scary terrorists (a fear and paranoia so complete I even gave up tickets I won to the winter Olympics in Salt Lake City because I was terrified that there would be someone with a beard and a turban around every corner just waiting to blow me up…because of my freedom… according to George W Bush anyway)
Many younger people who weren’t really old enough to know what was going on back around the 9/11 “attacks” have been living through their own 9/11… this time it’s been a scary virus, scary shots, scary masks, scary life, scary neighbors, scary death, scary war, scary guns, scary food and baby formula shortages, scary gas prices and scary madman Klaus Schwab. You have found yourself tuning in to everything you could that would help feed the fear that surely must be necessary. After all, you care about people right? It’s your duty to be part of the herd, part of the fear, part of the nightmare. You’ve felt like you are all “in this together.” I don’t fault any of you for falling prey to this trap. I’ve been there. But, you know what? I will *never* be there again.
Regardless of how it happened, I did break my addiction (and you can too). I’m someone who likes to stay informed. I’ve always prided myself on knowing what’s going on in the world and though I knew that I didn’t want to ever see another “news” program (or advertising) on the MSM, I did know that it was important to hear and/or read about things going on around me. I knew I had to be informed, not to live in fear, but to know what to watch out for. To know what kind of ruse was going to be used to try and get me to comply with the latest “laws”, “rules” and “mandates”. (To keep me safe of course). I knew that my news consumption had to be on *my* terms. That I needed to figure out a way to consume news that I wanted to hear and/or read, but that also included a delicate balance with things that were uncomfortable for me as well. (In other words, I didn’t want to just hear someone parroting exactly what I already thought about things).
Over the years I’ve found several sources that I’d like to share with you. Some of them you may already know about. I don’t want to be judged by these sources. You can decide for yourselves what type of news you want to hear and/or read just like I can. Just because I may listen to a podcast that you don’t agree with, that doesn’t mean that I wholeheartedly support the host or the purveyor of said news. I may only listen to or read their information for their perspective. In some case’s I may not read or listen to any of their posts for weeks as I delete those that I know I’m not interested in. All of the sources I am listing below I have found to be relatively reliable and I have “fact checked” them all and have found the accuracy of their reporting to be numerous times better than the so-called Mainstream Media. You can judge for yourself. Most of these sources provide news about a multitude of subjects without shoving an agenda down our throats. I will provide the links to all of them for you (The name of the program or author is the link) and I encourage you to go to their websites and bookmark them and/or subscribe to their email newsletters if you so choose. We must *stop* going to places like “YouTube” and “Facebook”. We must start going to the source (like we used to do and many of you may not remember that’s what we did before these evil social media sites became available).
1: Ron Paul Liberty Report If Ron Paul is not talking about it, it’s probably not too serious… yet. Ron Paul is getting old, but his commitment to liberty and common sense has not lost its shine. He has a daily podcast that’s short, informative and *always* emphasizes Freedom being the answer to most of our problems. (And he is right, in my opinion).
2: The Toll Online Some of the most thought-provoking articles I’ve ever read released about once a month or so. If you’ve never read any of Doug “Uncola” Lynn’s work, it’s worth a look.
3: The Ice Age Farmer Christian is a good soul. He cares about the earth in a rational way and keeps up with all things regarding our food supply, growing food and raising animals. He has a podcast as well. He is well worth checking out and supporting if you can.
4: Unlimited Hangout Whitney Webb has long form interviews with people she agrees with and/or doesn’t agree with on multiple topics of interest. She asks tough questions and does deep dives into topics that others oftentimes don’t. She has a podcast as well and every one of them are well worth listening to.
5: James Howard Kunstler James is an author and an artist. He gives a viewpoint that is balanced and is more from a center left perspective (in my opinion). He has a monthly podcast (search for kunstlercast) that can be found as well. He usually interviews people who lean left, but asks incredible questions and is well worth reading and listening to. I don’t always agree with him, but he comes across as a sane person. He puts me in mind of the more “traditional liberals” we used to have in America.
6: James Corbett Since 2007 James Corbett has been one of the most ethical and thorough journalists/documentarians of all time. I have never been able to find anything he has produced that I couldn’t verify through other sources. If you have never watched his documentaries on Big Oil and Bill Gates, if you do nothing else I *highly* recommend you do. They are eye opening. James never begs for money and operates his business on donations only. He sets a standard that others can only attempt to emulate. Please check out his material. It is life changing.
7: James Delingpole Please search for his podcast called “The Delingpod”. He doesn’t have an official website (that I know of anyway). He brings an “across the pond” perspective (he lives in England). His interviews are incredible and diverse, from the pop group “Right Said Fred” to religious leaders he always gives the interviewee time to respond and asks great questions that no one else is asking. I think you will find him very likeable.
8: Ryan Cristian of The Last American Vagabond I believe Ryan truly cares about the world and the people in it. His extensive research is a breath of fresh air. He is young and obviously passionate about what’s going on in our world and our society. Although his podcasts can be a bit long, he never fails to deliver. His deep dives into wearing “masks” to stop viruses is top notch and life changing. His material is definitely worth checking out.
9: The Highwire with Del Bigtree Dedicated to all things vaccine and health related, Del has truly set the bar for information on vaccines and vaccine injury. He provides indisputable truth about big Pharma and these monstrous vaccine companies and their agenda. Love him or hate him, his information is top notch and he interviews true experts in their field when it comes to the medical industrial complex. He has a weekly podcast as well.
10: Earnest Hancock Earnest is a broadcaster who actually worked on the now defunct “Air America” back in the day. He is a true lover of liberty and only wants to be “left alone” by “they, them, those” (defined as the ones that just won’t leave us alone). He focuses a lot on getting out from under the thumb of “the man” by building our own systems and communities. He can get a bit long winded, but his podcast is worth a listen as well as reading the news articles posted on his website. He does a couple of regular weekly/bi-weekly shows with James Corbett, Dr Judy Mikovitz and Dr Frank Tamburi that are usually fun to listen to as well as being informative.
11: Alex Jones Ok, I really debated putting Alex on this list. We all know that he can be hyperbolic, obtuse, annoying and downright scary. He is constantly begging for money and selling products he says can’t be found anywhere else (which is false, the things he sells can be found almost anywhere). BUT, I added him to the list because of his documentaries. He has done several that are breathtakingly accurate as it pertains to where we are right now. The Obama Deception, Prison Planet and several others are really worth watching.
This list is not comprehensive as I have about a dozen more sources that I go to as well. But these are my current go-to sites and resources to find out what’s going on in the world. You know what’s really neat about my last 20 years give or take? That if every one of these sources disappeared I STILL wouldn’t go back to watching or listening to Corporate Media. Because of some of the fine people listed above, my discernment level is at a point where it’s extremely difficult for me to fall for anything anymore. I don’t trust anything I hear from anyone who is supported by giant corporations and drug companies. Period.
I believe that one of the best things we can do to get out from under the hellishness we find ourselves in the middle of right now is shut off ANY Corporate media. If you or someone you love is addicted to Fox, CNN, MSNBC, or any of the other corporate sponsored media you must turn it off. Period. One of the reasons the world has been trapped in fear and despair for over two years is because of corporate shills spewing out whatever they are told to by their masters. And who are their masters? The ones who sign their paychecks of course. Big Pharma, Big Food, Big Fast Food, Big (put your word here)… The so-called reporters and “journalists” on any of these propped up platforms will rarely, if ever, say one negative thing (or anything that goes against the “approved” narrative) because they are paid by the very governments and corporations that are pushing said narrative.
So, there’s my rant for this week. As I said previously, please don’t judge me for my choice of news content. I only wanted to let my readers know that there *are* alternatives. And for those of you who say, “Yes, but I won’t know about a nuke or another “important” event right away if I listen to a podcast and hear about it a day later. Well, I have news for you. If a nuke is headed our way, it won’t matter if you know about it the minute it happens. And as for most other so-called “news”… it doesn’t affect us unless it is literally happening to us at the moment anyway. Cleanse your mind. Stop your addiction. You will find your health will be better and stress level will be lower than it’s been in years. But be warned… one can get addicted to alternate sources of news as well. Use wisdom when consuming news. Generations of humans lived happy long lives without knowing what went on somewhere for weeks and even months. We can too.
Well Rob D I have to be honest, I haven't watched or really listened to any World news casts on quite a while. The things that really do con ern are the rise of gas prices, food prices soaring through the atmosphere, the IDIOT plandemic that technically is a joke, and so is the so called SHOT. So the general media twists the truth so much I have a hard time to believe it Rob D. Of course they have make sure the shooting deaths and other su h criminal acts gets mentioned, and I sick and tired of hearing that too. Rob D thank you for your honesty and truth to matters that the World needs to hear and understand. Thank you Rob D.
Thanks for this. I am so disillusioned - my beloved NPR receives funding from the Gates foundation so they are captured as well and continue to support the faux dominant Covid/pro-vaccine narrative. This has disappointed me greatly.
