Those of you who have followed my work over the last year or so know that my “answer” to the madness in the world may seem a bit simplistic. That answer? Independence. Removing ourselves from dependence on government, 3 letter agencies, corporations, “mainstream” media, the medical industrial complex, and any other institutions we have been conned into thinking are necessary to live a free and happy life is the key to claiming and living a bit of liberty. Every single time we choose to do something ourselves instead of choosing the “convenient” thing, we thumb our noses at the beast system. People who founded America and other somewhat free nations knew this full well and they practiced it in their lives daily.
Convenience is a trap and leads to laziness, helplessness, and that bad word: “dependence.” When we are dependent on anyone or any institution for anything we are no longer free. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not naïve enough to think we can completely walk away from everything overnight and still be able to survive with the way the world is setup right now (though we should always be looking for ways to walk away for sure!), but I do know from personal experience just how rewarding it is to walk away from dependence and choose independence in many areas of our lives.
We must start believing in ourselves! We must believe in our own power to solve problems, make things, build things, and overcome obstacles. Every single time we choose to do something on our own we build confidence in our abilities. We might not always succeed, but in the trying we often find in ourselves something we didn’t know existed and it stokes our courage to take on more difficult tasks in the future.
If all we do is focus on the huge problems in the world, we will never solve anything. It’s impossible. Do I know about the geo-engineering hellishness going on? Do I know about the 5G and the obvious dangers that can cause? Do I know about certain climate issues that are not the fault of the average person? Do I know about the war in Ukraine? Do I know about the dangerous mRNA injections? Do I know about the engineered energy “crisis?” Do I know about the sham elections? (And the list goes on). Yes! I know about all of it! I think about these things every single day of my life. But that’s all they are for now… thoughts. My focus is always on the things that I can actually control in my life. The things I can stop doing, the things I can start doing, the plans I can actually make and bring to fruition, the areas in my life, my community, and my family where I can actually have an impact.
Most of us can’t do anything about any of the horrific problems I mentioned above. We can’t influence any of it. We can only have influence in our sphere. The purposely engineered problems in the world won’t be solved by myself and 10 people out on the street screaming that the problems need to stop. Yes, myself and 10 people out screaming and holding signs on the street might cause others to become aware of those issues, but the time we are wasting holding signs and screaming might be better used to actually do something.
We still have control over what we put in our bodies. We can still cook our own food using decent ingredients. We can still grow some of our own food. We can still choose who we are friends with. We can still choose to do some of our own repairs on our homes and vehicles. We can still choose to buy things in bulk to put something aside for a rainy day. We can still choose whether we really need that 96” flatscreen TV. We can still choose whether to take an experimental shot for the “privilege” of traveling. We can still choose to make less money and arrange our lives around that limited income rather than succumbing to masking and shots at our place of work. We can still choose to pull the weeds in the gutters on our street rather than calling and complaining to the city. We have the ability to solve problems with neighbors and family members by talking with them instead of calling an agency or the police for everything. I could continue, but I won’t.
I have written a lot about independence in the last year and I stand by every word because I don’t just preach here… I practice what I preach! I really do. Every single time we decide that we are not going to let the world’s problems and our frustration with them determine our level of liberty… we gain more liberty! I promise! So much of what we experience in our daily lives is completely within our control. How we choose to approach the problems and situations in our lives completely determines just how much freedom we have. When my friend Fat Rabbit Iron exclaims that they have saved seeds to plant for next year instead of having to buy them. When one of my other readers mentions they are going to start baking their own bread or try expanding their garden next year. These are people who “get it.” These are the people who understand that every time they choose to solve one of their own problems, remove themselves from the beast system and choose independence, they have won some of their liberty back.
We can no longer keep looking to others to solve problems. Many of the problems in the world are much too big to overcome right now, but many of the problems in our own lives can be overcome with just a bit of work. Some elbow grease. A bit of trial and error.
We cannot afford to be afraid of solving our own problems any longer. We must begin choosing independence. It’s the only real answer we have available to us right now. Will there come a time when we can tackle some of these larger issues in the world? I hope and believe so. But right now, those problems are a distraction. The monsters who are purposely creating these problems know that the true power lies with the people and if they can keep us focused on these larger issues and keep us distracted so that we won’t exercise our liberty they win, and I promise they know this!
Everything above is not what I had planned to write about this week. Haha. Funny how that happens. I’d like all of you, my friends and my subscribers, to begin thinking of just one thing you can do in your own life that will remove you from the beast system. Just one. If you’ve already done this, think of another. Use your imagination. Are you overweight? Are you eating fast food? Are you taking lots of OTC medications? Are you not exercising at all? Are you going to the doctor for everything? Are you paying someone to do something you know that you could do yourself if you put in a bit of effort? Are you at a job that you absolutely hate? Are you addicted to your tracking device (cell phone)? Are you drinking too much alcohol or using too much cannabis and know you need to cut back or stop? These are all things we have control over that, if we make a change, could propel us into a freer life. I could come up with many more because, guess what? I’ve battled with all of them. I was trapped by all of them, feeling hopeless, downtrodden, and enslaved. I’ve been dependent. And when I began tackling each of them one at a time I found out just how free I really am! When we begin to choose independence over dependence it does amazing things in our hearts, our souls, and our minds.
If you would like, please place in the comments section one of the things that you have begun to do for yourself or a change you’ve made that has had a dramatic impact on your life, boosted your ego and courage, and caused you to be more independent. Thanks again for reading The Rumble Strip.
This is a great column, already doing a lot of this.. we built a chicken coop over the summer, and put in a bigger garden. We are getting a half dozen fresh eggs a day.
Love all the sentiments you expressed, Rob! I started making my own granola instead of buying it. It's a small thing, but my version is fresher, with few additives, and just tastes way better. It's now the highlight of my morning routine (aside from coffee, of course).
