Greetings to all of those who subscribe to The Rumble Strip and like to wax religious from time to time. I’ve often felt the need to introduce a bit of “religion” (for lack of a better word) into my published work and finally took the plunge. I usually try to keep religion out of “The Rumble Strip” because it is written for one and all, and I try to keep from offending or starting ridiculous debates about religion when it comes to the things I write about here.
If you are interested, I have started a new podcast on Substack called “Walking the Psalms”. Essentially, all I am going to do is read through the book of Psalms from The Holy Bible (New International Version). My plan is to release one chapter every week. If any of you are interested in subscribing, you can do that below:
I still plan to publish written material here on “The Rumble Strip” whenever something sticks in my craw, but I will not be writing every week like I did for over a year. I felt the need to do something a bit different and this project has been on my heart and mind for awhile now.
Thanks to all of you who continue to read and comment on my articles here. I love all of you, and you have helped keep me sane. I promise to do my best to always stay relevant here until I feel I’ve exhausted all of my zeal for The Rumble Strip. I will certainly let everyone know if I decide to throw in the towel.
Anyway, Have a great day and thanks for your support. It means a lot. :)
Hey Rob. Good for you. I admire your energy and perseverance especially in these times of personal persecution.
May I suggest that you offer not only what the Psalm means to you but also how the message from God to His people fits within the overall context of the bible and maybe why God wants you to know what He is saying in the particular Psalm.
Rob I think it's is fantastic reading fron The Psalms from the Bible. Psalms is one of the Bible's most compassionate and heartfelt books in the Bible. I know that Israel's King David in whom My Mother named Me after, really pours His heart out praising the Lord.
Psalms is one My favorite book including as well the other 65 books in the Bible. Rob I look forward to your devotion on the Book of Psalms. Thank you Rob.
