I usually have a lot to say. And I have a lot to say right now, but I just don’t feel the words traveling from my brain to my keyboard for some reason. This happens from time to time. I think I get overloaded with the insanity of the world and just kind of shut it all off. That being said, I did want to write something today for my weekly rant. Maybe something a bit more positive. I’m usually kind of a doom and gloom guy, but I *always* hold out a ray of hope. With everything going on in the world it’s easy to get dragged down and feel like the “black pill” is the only pill to take. Granted, it’s bad out there. Really bad. But there’s a *lot* of good going on as well.
Food prices are out of control and there are empty spots on grocery store shelves in America. But I see a resurgence of people wanting to grow some of their own food. *Finally!* After I’ve been screaming about it for most of my life. This is exciting and extremely important.
Baby formula shortages in America? Seriously? Yep. But I’m hearing from women that, if they can, they are going to breast feed their babies. An incredibly important bonding function that has been slowly wiped from human existence is coming back and we will see the benefits of this in the next generation.
Inflation is raging and prices for everything are out of control (and we haven’t seen anything yet). But I am hearing from people who are *finally* getting serious about taking back their freedom by getting out of debt and no longer being beholden to a bank holding them hostage for most of their paycheck every month. I see a resurgence of people no longer thinking they need to rush out and buy a new car, but will make what they have work for them.
Meat prices are soaring and we hear in the news that, eventually, meat will not be allowed in our diet and if we want something resembling meat we will have to buy some nasty lab grown meat from the monster Doktor Bill Gates. Yet I’m finding many people who are now connecting with their local ranchers and those who raise chickens and other animals to get products directly from the source. And, those who can are raising their own chickens, goats or pigs. And in doing so, sending a giant middle finger to the evil corporations trying to destroy animal protein in the name of “climate change”. (As a sidenote, millions upon millions of animals have been roaming the earth for millennia and only now have suddenly (supposedly) become some kind of threat to our very existence)
The public school system has become a grooming camp for some of the most evil and disgusting agendas in American (and possibly world) history. The filth our little ones are being exposed to is beyond anything I could have ever imagined. Little children taught they are evil if they are white, evil if they are a little boy that wants to be a boy, evil if they don’t worship at whatever altar their teacher says they have to. Yet I am seeing more and more parents *finally* figuring out a way to rip their children out of these government run indoctrination camps and opting for home schooling or sending their kids to a private school. Many are going back to having one income in the home and eating beans and rice for a few years until they can release their properly educated children into the world with the tools they will need to be good, productive and valuable members of society. This is great news and, like breast feeding, we will see the benefits in the next generation.
Medical tyranny is around every corner. Take your shot or pill or whatever a doctor tells you because “they know best”. And if you aren’t doing what someone in a lab coat with a stethoscope tells you, you’re probably killing Granny. Oh yes, that’s still out there. It’s a nightmare. But I’m seeing loads of people *finally* saying no to all of this medicine and figuring out how to stay healthy and even regain their health with changes in diet. I’m seeing people realizing that the very thing the doctor said they had to do is what was keeping them sick and “coming back for more”. I’m seeing people who used to go to the doctor every time they had a sniffle now realizing that sniffles are part of life and unless they are sick for 7 to 10 days without any signs of improvement, a doctor is probably not necessary. This is also some amazing and exciting news.
Politicians are evil monsters who only want to rule over us and control us. That’s a fact! Most of them could care less about us. They care about raising money to “win” another election (which, for most of them, is the *only* significant thing they’ve ever done in their life). And what am I seeing? I’m seeing lots of people who used to believe there was a difference between the Red team and the Blue team *finally* figuring out that they are one in the same. The only difference is the rhetoric they use. I’m hearing from people that the only answer is to flush all of these monsters down the drain for good. That voting in the “good guy” is usually just the lesser of two evils and that if we are going to keep the system of government we have in America we must have politicians that actually stand for something and aren’t afraid to be principled and stand for what’s right. No matter what fancy letter they put behind their name.
So, yes, there’s still a lot to be down about. A lot to be gloomy about. A lot to worry about (if you’re the worrying type). But guess what? If we turn off the news and look around we can actually see a *lot* of good going on. General public opinion is changing on many levels. Oh yes, we still have many of the same ridiculous arguments about how tall someone’s grass is or the broke down car that’s been sitting in a neighbor’s driveway for months and has an inch of dirt on it. But many of us are *finally* looking past those petty problems that really mean nothing in the big scheme of things and are looking at things that we all have in common. Many of us are finally starting to remember a time where we overlooked people’s weaknesses and found their strengths. Many of us have awoken to a possibility of a new world that may not look like what we used to have materially, but will be filled with human beings once again caring about one another. Children happily playing together in the street and wielding a hockey stick not to beat the hell out of an old person with it, but to actually play street hockey. Walking through neighborhoods and seeing people pulling weeds in their vegetable garden partly because they have to, but mostly because they want to. Neighbors once again taking a fresh tomato they grew to their elderly neighbor. Elderly neighbors once again baking a pie and taking it to the new resident down the street.
Yes, there is still good in the world and as the world gets darker, in many ways it allows us to see the light that is in each and every one of us. For far too long we have been focused on the darkness because we had it too good. We have been fat, lazy, materialistic, decadent and selfish. But that era is coming to an end. Oh yes, it will be sad to see some of that type of “freedom” go away. But the true freedom that replaces it is the kind of freedom that lasts. It starts in the hearts of each and every one of us, spreads to those around us, and is unstoppable! We can build this world back better. And we can do it together. Without any help from the social engineers that want to build it back in their devilish image. We have the power. We *are* the majority. We are the future, but we have to dedicate the rest of our lives to creating that future. And it’s going to take all of us to do it. Personally, I can’t wait to join with you to accomplish it.
Thanks for reading The Rumble Strip.
Very well said Sir! I could have written a similar 'light at the end of the tunnel' message. In fact, I have. Several times.
My feeling is that there is still hope for humanity. Maybe *not* for our current bureaucratic, over medicated, under educated, over sexualized, over credentialed, kleptocratic, mentally ill society - but humanity. People.
There is hope in rural America. And among the peasantry around the world. Country folk, people in rural communities, are re-learning the skills our parents and grandparents took for granted. Some never lost those skills! We tend our gardens, and 'put-up' our harvests in the fall. We kill and cure a hog or two every fall. And stock our freezers with beef, or game.
We are not afraid to socialize, after church. We still teach our kids how to hunt and fish. And to tolerate the "not us". And to avoid the urban hellholes that seem to breed the ills that plague society.
Yes, there are tough times coming. Yes, many people are going to see a reduction in their standard of living. Many are experiencing them now! But the heartland is still strong. In the words of one of our modern-day poets, "Country folk will survive!"
Great post. If you look for Good, you will find it. Resist and be free.
