We have had it great in America. For most of us, if we applied ourselves and worked hard, we could purchase everything we could ever want to live a comfortable life. Accumulating material items became a national pastime and kind of a goal for many living in the “land of the free.” (Some may remember the slogan “whoever has the most toys wins”) In most middle-class neighborhoods, you can still drive by homes where vehicles are sitting out in the driveway because the garages are full to the top with all the material items that people have collected and forgotten over their lives.
I believe those days are coming to an end and it would behoove people to begin downsizing by choice rather than being forced. In other words, I think if we make the choice to focus on more important things now, we will have the option to pursue material items once this country is repaired. But, if we wait and continue lusting after material items, it will all be taken from us and we will *never* have the opportunity to reclaim materialism again for generations.
When I speak to people in my area who still, for the most part, have good jobs and who have not been affected by the inflation of the last decade, I often hear things like, “what’s going on in this country and the world doesn’t affect my life.” These same people don’t know how to garden, don’t know how to preserve food, don’t know how to cook for themselves, don’t even have a small stockpile of items “just in case.” No, they tell me things like, “I’ve already got my:”
Pickup
Sports Car
Harley
Boat
Camper
Four-Wheeler
Snow Mobile
Jet Ski
Heck, the list is endless. What they don’t admit is that America is falling apart. Many of these same people are on “anti-depressants” (along with their children). Many of them are overweight, tattooed, pierced, and mutilated (along with their children). Most of them have never seen the inside of a church. When they are together as a dysfunctional family there’s no talking with each other or playing board games, instead, each member of the “family” is on their slave tracking devices (cell phones). Most of them can tell you anything about pop culture and the latest “craze” but can’t tell you one thing about the coming World Digital ID, the Central Bank Digital slave Currency, the killing of thousands and thousands of cattle in the name of “climate change”, the Universal Basic Income scheme in which if we “do what we are told” we will receive a slave pittance to stay home and shut up. The plans to stop people from being able to travel. The *fact* that bugs are already being put in our food. (Look up Tyson Foods and their shiny new contract with a bug farming company just to start) They could care less that millions of illegal aliens are literally pouring over our border. A lot of them got their “covid” “vaccine” and subsequent boosters and don’t even know that upwards of 20 million people have died from the experimental shot. They could care less that an estimated 200,000 people have died from Fentanyl. They don’t know who the representative is that is supposed to represent them in their State or National Congress. Again, as always, the list goes on and on...
Nope, a lot of the population is still addicted to the captured “Sports Industrial Complex” and can tell the batting average or touchdown average for every player in the last 100 years. They can tell you about Baseball, Basketball, Hockey, Bowling, Football, Tennis, and myriads of other sports. Or they can tell you who’s winning The Amazing Race.
I keep hearing that we are having a great “awakening.” Where? I’m sure not seeing it. I know a handful of people who are *maybe* a bit more “awake” than they used to be, but most people are just going about their lives and partying like it’s 1999. Most people are doing exactly what they’ve always done: Pursuing material items. I don’t see garden plots being prepared. I don’t see people saving for a rainy day. I don’t see people getting out of debt. Nope, I see just as many new, great big noisy pickups with one person in them as I always did. I see people eating, drinking and being merry. I see the days of Noah.
Do I sound arrogant or better than others by saying all of this? Sorry. Here’s why I can speak the way I do about these things: I used to be one of those “living the dream”. Oh, I didn’t have as much as some, but I spent a lot of years pursuing everything that I could ever want. (I do have to say I was completely awake for the most part though, I wasn’t blind to what’s going on in the world) I’ve had the new noisy pickups and sports cars. I’ve had the new home. I’ve gambled and played and been part of the beast system as well. But in 2010 I felt in my gut that something just isn’t right in the world. I took all the energy I had been spending pursuing the “dream” and worked my tail off to get out of debt. I sold or gave away all the toys I thought I needed. I downsized to efficient, quiet “sneaky” vehicles that could get me to a bug-out location on 15 gallons of gas (scoffers be damned, I am *not* defined by the vehicle I drive!) and started buying the things I *needed* instead of the things I wanted. I started focusing on the things that mattered like traveling to see family numerous times all over the country. I remembered that true spirituality is a good thing. I began focusing on the *truth* about what is going on in this world.
It’s time to put down the remote control. It’s time to sell the crap that is parked. If you have a family, it’s time to start spending time together and putting all of the electronics in a box during family time. It’s time to start paying attention to what’s being taught to our children in public indoctrination camps being called “schools”. It’s time to actually sit down and *listen* to your children. It’s time to start researching what the monsters of this world have planned for us. It’s time to stop thinking that just because we still seem to have it pretty good that the things that are being planned aren’t a “conspiracy theory” but are *happening* right now! It’s time to pay attention to the filthy, cowardly politicians that are pushing total dystopia behind our backs. It’s time to change. It’s time to *get involved*.
If we can muster the courage to weed out materialism for just a few years and focus on saving our families, culture, and communities we *will* have the opportunity to come back like the Phoenix rising from the ashes. If we continue to sleep while all of the “build back better agenda” is quietly implemented while the monsters distract us with wars and emergencies, once the beast system is fully implemented we will *never* come back from it.
So, enjoy your toys. If you keep ignoring everything going on, they will be the last ones you ever buy. And good luck eating them if, and when, the bubble bursts for good.
I think one of the biggest problems today is "digital materialism" -- everyone is subscribed to 20 streaming services, is on at least five different social media apps, has to have the latest and greatest phone (and maybe a smart watch or tablet or two), and of course must have a TV in every room. These things suck away our time and make us passive and subhuman. Throw them in the lake!
I am one of those people who never hit 40K as a salary. I tried. I got an education, worked hard got outstanding job reviews but never made the big bucks. I lived in not great neighborhood, no kids, and it took a long time for me to find the right one. I am now retired and there are no trips abroad, no new gadgets, old car and even a move to another state in order to save money. I live in the country, so no need for fancy jewelry or clothes, gardening is out because we have to amend the soil. It is basically sand. We watch DVDs, I love Alfred Hitchcock, sci-fi, whatever. Our library is under siege and I expect it to close. Something is coming, a lot of us know this and we are as prepared as we can be. It won’t be enough but it is what it is. It will be a black swan event and it will be, “didn’t see that coming...”
A great amount of families, individuals, groups, are not going to make it. Many of us realize this and we prepare the best we can. We are just a ticking time bomb and we haven’t gone off yet.
