Who's to Blame?
DISCLAIMER: I don’t claim to be a writer or a journalist. I’m just on older guy who has lived and observed life for quite awhile. My writing, when there is any, is mostly my opinion. I always try to base my opinion on fact though. I study by reading and listening to lectures about lots of subjects. My posts may be one sentence or a 2 or 3 page diatribe. One never knows. Thanks for reading.
I have had several days of stewing about a comment I saw on a post some where. It’s been bugging the heck out of me. It was something like, “boomers are the only ones who are complying with this stuff (masks and shots) and it’s their fault we are where we are”.
Wow. That’s a pretty bold statement.
First, I am a “boomer”. I’ve been awake to the horrors of big government since I was around 14 years old. Have their been times of “compliance” in my life? Oh, most definitely. The tyrants have been able to trick me quite a few times over my lifetime and I’m always pretty disappointed with myself upon discovering that they “got one over” on me.
That being said, I don’t think it’s fair to blame most people for the madness going on in the world. I know just as many boomers that aren’t going along with the insanity as I know that are going along right now. I also know a lot of the younger generation that are and are not. It’s kind of even across the board. In fact, if we use the “compliance diaper” (mask) as a metric, I see lots more younger people embracing something that *literally* depletes their oxygen intake, can cause mouth diseases and bacterial infections (just to name a few) at a much higher rate than us “boomers”. The younger people are now making it an article of clothing, thinking it’s cute to match with their clothes etc.
So who is to blame?
It’s all of us.
I hate to say it, but if the “boomers” have dropped the ball anywhere it’s been by trusting the institutions set up in government over the last 100 years or so. Trusting that schools were doing their job. Allowing materialism to become more important than family. Trusting, trusting, trusting. Not questioning. Being duped into thinking that if the right “R” or the right “D” was at the helm everything would be fine. Yes, we messed up. And I’m guilty. Even though I’ve known what is happening, I’ve been keeping my mouth shut. Embracing oppressive things as they are slowly placed on our society like an electric blanket or the old boiling frog scenario. Don’t worry, be happy. Just ignore the bad stuff because in another 2 , 4 or 8 years we’ll get a break from it. We’ve been wrong. And for that, on behalf of “boomers” everywhere… I apologize. We thought we could just lazily go along and the system would work.
Does that give anyone a clue who is *really* to blame? Has anyone seen but a handful of these filthy politicians brave enough to say *anything* about… *anything*?? Regarding this last 18 months, have you heard about the astonishing number of filthy politicians who have Pfizer and J&J stock? Has anyone seen who our government is in bed with? Has anyone followed the money trail on all of the horror in our world right now?
I could ramble for hours and not make any sense. But, I think my point is that we need to stop pointing fingers at each other. I dearly love the young people I know and I want the best, freest and most amazing future possible for them. I can’t blame them anymore than I can blame my dear Grandmother who died at age 102 and had a zeal for America and life that I can only wish to emulate. I can blame myself and other “boomers” some but, even then, with all of the propaganda and misinformation and busyness in the world, how can one possibly keep up with everything?
No, it’s time to start pointing fingers at these evil institutions. It’s time to start cleansing our nation politically. Not by getting the best “R” or the best “D” but, if we are to keep our form of government, getting the best and the right PERSON. The right person who decides that their philosophy is one of Liberty and Justice for ALL. (Sorry for the Americana cliche’, but it’s important)
I’m not sure what the future may bring. Right now, I’m not feeling too warm and fuzzy. A world where a government can justify literally FORCING people to take things INSIDE of their bodies and a population that is starting to embrace things like holding people down to inject something into their body and even camps for the “dissidents” who don’t want to conform to the herd is scary as hell to me. A world where a person has to carry their papers everywhere to get a cup of coffee, buy groceries or even work! A world where a government decides what the next “shot of the month” is and by God you better take it or you are no longer safe to be in public. Think about it people! PLEASE. It makes me glad that my life is nearing it’s apex.
I don’t think it has to be this way though. I know we laugh at the saying, “can’t we all get along”, but that’s really it. In a nutshell. Division is our greatest weakness right now. And a house divided cannot stand. It will fall if we don’t start saying no to the system that is corrupting our very nature. I’m sick of hearing how everyone is racist and phobic etc etc. What? Where in the hell did all of that even come from? Does no one remember 2 decades ago? I thought things were pretty good. And I *have* friends of all stripes.
“Boomers” are becoming rare my friends. We are dying off. And guess what? We are the last generation who still know what it’s like to live in a Constitutional, Representative Republic. Young people, don’t squander your chance to learn from the “boomers” who are on your side. We may be your last hope.
