I'm with you on all of this. I have a son that says he's neither male nor female. He even changed his name. He wears eyelashes, women's boots and spends plenty of time on his nails and make up. He has 5 kids. His wife helps him with his makeup etc., but they are one of the most well grounded family I know. Do I support it? No, but I love my family and their business is theirs alone. Luckily, the kids are all fine, and they don't try and confuse them. Live and let live, just don't ask me to come to your side of the tracks.
Agree very strongly with your opening paragraph, Rob. I too, am sick and f#%@ing tired of this whole gender insanity.
There have ALWAYS been people who are attracted to others of the same sex; and people who are confused as to whether they are an 'innie' or an 'outie'. And, sadly, there have always been a few people who are sexually attracted to children. But, as you point out, these unfortunate souls constitute a tiny percentage of our population. Our apparent desire to rebuild our culture to pander to this small group is an ugly symptom of a much deeper societal malaise.
Fun read, agree completely. Growing up around the rave scene there were already trans people around & it was fine. This recent focus on exposing kids to gender confusion is hurting the cause of actual trans people who just want to exist and be left alone. Dani sounds like a trip ;)
"This recent focus on exposing kids to gender confusion is hurting the cause of actual trans people who just want to exist and be left alone." Exactly! Dani is awesome. He/she is super laid back and never ever forced anyone to "accept them". I didn't agree with Dani's choice, but I often thought about how difficult their life is and how hard it must have been at times to come to work at a coal mine. Dani runs one of the giant front end loaders loading coal into giant dump trucks. Thanks for stopping by Slugdaddy. It was really good to see you here. :)
So, here's my take. I don't care what fetishes adults get into in their private lives, but I always felt the gay men in drag were caricaturing women, much the same sort of thing as white people doing "blackface" and I don't mean harmless Halloween costumes and that, I mean caricature that is offensive to those being targeted, as it were. I'm pretty live and let live, but...
This madness we're watching with Big Money coming in and trying to teach kids that there are "more than two sexes" and that they can "change" their sex and encourage this in pre-pubescent children is VILE, and part of the attempt to destroy our society and to target our CHILDREN for what will turn into transHUMANISM as the actual goal. These kids are being sterilized. Brainwashed. It's an attempt to turn our society inside out and upside down. I don't think it's a natural phenomenon, I think it's a deliberate ATTACK on our society, and on WOMEN. Men cannot be WOMEN. Women cannot be MEN. We are what we are born, and no amount of medical whatever is going to change it. Our brains are different, our whole system is different, and it's a GOOD THING, and I think all children go through times of being curious, even wistful about what the other sex is "able to do," and I think nearly all teens go through awkward times when they feel odd in a body that is suddenly changing in ways they've not experienced... puberty is a bitch! ;)
But this is all happening in the past 10 years or so... suddenly... and it's not KIDS that are doing it, it's BIG MONEY and corporate entities, like Black Rock-- BLACK ROCK? Really?? yeah. This is another tactic of fuckery, just like letting a lot of foreign drug pushers over our borders, letting criminals out of jail, etc etc. THIS IS WAR, folks. See the bigger picture. And they're coming for the CHILDREN...
And also, climbing trees and playing with/driving trucks is NOT a gender thing, even if it might seem like one to some folks... As a girl, I envied how boys got to do things I was actively encouraged NOT to do, because I was a girl, and no other reason. But I played football as a kid, and I climbed plenty of trees, and I rode my bike everywhere, and even played with toy cars and trucks a bit, tho I much preferred to DRIVE them... ha. I'm a gal, and not queer, tho I have no problem with anyone who is. Live and let live! I think we should loosen up with all that and let people be who they are, and not try to put such rigidity into all that gender role stuff... Loosen up, but not into depravity.
Okay, that was a sermon, LOL. But I am outraged, as in my state of WA, dems just passed a bill that would allow children -- CHILDREN -- who think they are "in the wrong body" to be HIDDEN from their parents and... ????? This is not okay.
So Word Herder, tell us what you really think. LOL. Thanks though! I agree with you. And this wickedness of whisking children away from their parents and encouraging them to be a different gender is something that crosses a line that we would never come back from. These little kids lives are being destroyed behind their parents backs. Are there parents out there that would mistreat a child if they were confused about their gender? Sure... there are, but they are far and few between. Parents want the best for their kids and 99.9 percent of them would do whatever it takes to help them. This devious plan to not even let the parents have a say in it and more or less force these kids into living their lives in confusion is despicable. It's got to stop.
I think girls mostly, back in the day, wished at some point they were boys. Only because we could get away with being rough, coming home filthy with mud, playing in the woods, riding home made skateboards out of roller skates and crashing into bushes. Back in the day, girls were supposed to play with Barbie and play school. I thought Barbie was okay, but her boobs disturbed me. Honestly it was a feature of her that I did not like and never aspired to have huge boobs.
Kids have different brains. Since we are of an older generation, we are aware of these stages of thought and growth.
I used to be afraid of flushing toilets. .... but that is another fear probably explained by too many air plane trips and those sucking toilets.
My dad is 100 years old. I say that because the brain is an incredible thing. everyone has a different brain. I believe my father is of sound mind, but the past few years he has forgotten who he said what to, and it causes a lot of back lash with my siblings.
All said, life is precious. Parents must be the parent of their children. They are the boss.
Hubs and I are a boomer and an x-er respectively. We have had this conversation often.
We had it all figured out. Live and let live. Don't ram your beliefs down our throats, and we won't ram our own, straight beliefs down yours. What happens behind closed doors stays there. Your sexuality is your business, as long as you keep the kids out of it.
There was equality already. There was great change in attitudes towards gay people and the gay rights were born in our time.
Heck! Gay marriage was brought about in our time. Before all this weird stuff started.
Now the new generations come out and think they're the ones bringing equality to the gay/trans issue.
What they're doing is sick and disgusting. Violent and pedophilic.
No doubt Toxicanadian! Have we been too tolerant? Maybe. I was just thinking this morning, "What rights don't you have?" (as it pertains to "gay" "trans"). I really couldn't think of any. It's just a political issue and these people don't even realize they are being *used* by the government and the establishment media to further *their* agenda... while further dividing the people.
As my wife loves to say --
I don't care what people do, but don't ask me to pay for it or celebrate it.
Or intimately participate in it! Haha. Thanks FRI.

Amen.

It's up to us to stop it. xo
well stated.
