Well, I’ve had some time to think the last couple weeks with the holidays and festivities going on around me. Some of the predominate questions I hear from people I know, and often read in comments online is, “How can we change things?” and “What can I do?” These questions are often asked by people who are dutifully following (often unknowingly) obscure rules put in place by the very people who are making us *think* that we can’t do anything.
I have to be careful when I post my opinions. I am not blind to the fact that sometimes I may come across as judgmental and/or arrogant. The truth is, I don’t want to offend anyone. But I *do* want to *shake* people out of their trances. I don’t offer up suggestions for how we should live and how we should change if I haven’t, literally, done the same thing in my own life.
Forgive me for rambling and, often, not staying on topic. I don’t consider myself a journalist, a writer, an expert or any other word for someone “in the know.” I’m just a guy who has lived life on my terms and has *lived* liberty by choosing it. So, for this New Year I have decided to provide people a list. (Oh no, not a list!) A list of things that I have either done in my life to say NO to tyranny, or things I have tried to do. Tyranny didn’t just start 03/2020. Oh no, it’s been creeping up on us for decades and we have allowed this creeping tyranny to destroy what we have had for a long time in America and other parts of the world. I was the “oddball” always telling others that we *have* to do something and we have to make changes if we are going to hold on to liberty and freedom. And, it turns out that I’ve been right the whole time. It has become obvious over the last couple of years just how right I’ve been.
But now it’s different. Now we don’t have the luxury of just “waiting it out”. Now we *must* stand. What is going on around us is *not* going to just go away (even if we slow it down). My Great Uncle always said, “Just ignore your teeth and they’ll go away.” He was right about teeth, but wasn’t right about oppressive government.
Some of you may already be doing the things I am going to list below. If you are; AWESOME! But some of you may not be doing anything, and may be one of those asking, “What can I do?” You may read this list and think that there’s no way that anything on this list could change the world. The list is too simple. I adamantly disagree. If every single one of us would just do one thing on this list (or your own list), the world would start changing. If every one of us would strive to add another item from this list to what we are already doing it would literally overwhelm the system. We would become ungovernable. Not unlawful. Ungovernable. There’s a difference. Some of these things may seem impossible for you. That’s okay. Choose something you *know* you can do. Once you have implemented it you will see that it’s not that hard, that you aren’t going to go to jail for *living* liberty and thumbing your nose at the system that is trying to destroy us.
1: Turn off the TV and play a board game or cards with your children/family at least once a week.
2: Turn off corporate national news. Period. Choose local news if you have to have your fix. Better yet, find a reliable and trusted alternative. They are out there. Use your gut as a barometer. We *do* know what truth is if we just think for a minute.
3: If you go into a store and they tell you that you “have to” wear a mask. Politely tell them that you won’t *ever* be back and turn around and walk out. Bonus points if you ask for the owner or manager and tell them the same thing. And then, either be willing to do without the item you thought you needed from the store, figure out a way to make that item for yourself or, better yet, start making phone calls to find a “mom and pop” store that isn’t participating in tyranny. (They *are* out there, even in the bluest of blue states!)
4: If you enter a store or establishment that wants you to show your “medical status”, “vaccine status”, “health status” or any other insane personal thing, use the same tactic as above. Privacy is *mandatory* in a free society. Proving you are not unclean isn’t.
5: Whether in an apartment, a house, a condo or whatever dwelling you reside in, grow at least one thing that you eat. Even if it’s just basil in a pot. Learn to grow food. You will find that you will not only save money, but you will also be saying *no* to “big food”. If you feel you absolutely can’t grow at least one item, then start researching farmer’s markets and farm co-ops where you can get produce from an independent farmer. In many areas, they even deliver to your door!
6: Find a naturopathic doctor and pay cash. I know, I know, it’s hard to pay cash sometimes. But, very often, a naturopath can “fix us” for *much* less than allopathic doctors. A visit to a naturopath, in many cases, costs *less* than the deductible on your insurance. Naturopathic doctors are *real* doctors who still practice medicine. They can prescribe the same things as allopathic doctors, if need be, and can refer to specialists etc. (As a bonus, most Naturopathic doctors don’t make a person wear masks, get shots or participate in any other insane ritual just to get treatment)
7: This is going to be tough for some. But just so you know that I’m putting my “money where my mouth is”, I make one quarter the salary that I used to make because I *refuse* to be part of the madness. Stop getting tested to work! Period. The testing is all part of this insanity. If we don’t stop this, we will be getting tested to do *anything* for the rest of our lives. Is it hard to make the sacrifice of changing jobs (especially for less money)? Damn right it is. But *this is the time*. We don’t have a choice. If an organization you work for is demanding that you have something shoved into your body, whether it’s a shot or a swab, it’s time to start looking for a new job and *boldly* tell your employer that the reason you are leaving is because you value the *ownership* of your body. If someone is demanding that we do something to our body for the privilege of “working” or anything else, we no longer own ourselves. (As a side note, I feel the same about permission slips or “exemptions”, but at least those don’t involve something being stuck *inside* of our body!)
8: Stop flying commercial airlines. Sorry. But we *must* stop getting tested, shot up, and masked up for the “privilege” of traveling. Freedom of movement is *imperative* in a free society. Having to prove a status or wear a medical device to travel is pure tyranny through and through. Again, so many of these things *can* be temporary if we *choose* to sacrifice now for a while. If we don’t choose to make this sacrifice now, all of what we are seeing right now will be mandatory for the rest of our lives. Is that what you really want? I’ve put my friends and family on notice that I will, unfortunately, not be able to visit until this madness stops. It’s called having principles. And if your friends and family don’t understand that, then… oh well.
9: Stop going to *any* entertainment venue that requires testing, masking, distancing, “vaccines” or any other “proof” that you are a “good person” for the privilege of *paying* to attend. Come on people! Do we really need to go to a concert or any other event that bad? I say screw them! (I had a different word for screw). Seriously? Can’t we make this sacrifice and get this fixed?
10: I don’t think politics is our way out of this, but that doesn’t mean that politics aren’t a reality. Email or write a real letter to your *local* congressperson and vent about the insanity in the world and let them know where you stand. The same goes for your sheriff. People don’t realize just how much influence they *do* have in local politics. In my area, if it weren’t for the local politicians and sheriff, we would have been under the iron fist of a serious “wanna be” dictator (“governor”). Put them on notice. Let them know you are watching. Come on people, it only takes a few minutes to do this. You can try writing your national politicians as well, but that usually falls on deaf ears. *Focus on local politics* and you may not have to pack up and move somewhere where you can’t grow food. Think!
11: Participate in online forums and places that still believe in free speech. Comment, bond with others, and support those platforms with your participation and your money if you have it.
12: *Refuse* to go to YouTube, Facebook (“Meta”), Twitter, or *any* platform that has censored someone you care about. The only thing I go to YouTube for is a music video. If people send me links to YouTube videos that are not music related, I just delete them. SAY NO to these platforms. Period.
13: This should be number one. *Get out of debt*. Now. If you have to sell your new car and buy something used. If you have to eat beans and rice. It doesn’t matter. One of the reasons these monsters have been so successful is because people are carrying thousands of dollars of debt and are *literally* slaves to their job and the big banks. Do whatever it takes. I *promise* that money can be replaced down the road if we get this fixed, but the liberty we are losing by our voluntary slavery and compliance will *never* be replaced. It will be gone. Forever. (Along with the ability to replace the money we temporarily give up now to stop this agenda)
14: Learn to cook! My grandmother always said, “If you can read, you can cook.” And that’s a fact. Stop supporting fast food and those ridiculous frozen “convenience” meals that are killing us. And I don’t say that lightly. Make it your goal to learn to cook from scratch. Even if it’s only one thing. Even at the busiest time of my life, when I thought I was going to live forever, I made at least one meal a week from scratch. (And hamburger helper is *not* from scratch. Lol) And if you need help learning, reach out to me. I am good at it and can help!
15: *Turn off the cell phone*. Sorry, we are way too addicted to these things. The only reason I have a “cell phone” now is because of work. It gets shut off every day at a predetermined time. I still use wired internet and my friends and family know that if they need to get in touch, I check email before bed. We lived for generations *without* feeling like we had to answer someone within 10 seconds of hearing from them. In fact, if you called and there was no answer you called back later or left a message (once answering machines came into being). Turn these devices off. It’s hard to do, but until you try it, you won’t realize just how addicted you have become. It’s amazing. You will *literally* feel like you are withdrawing from a drug. That should be enough to prove how damaging these devices have become.
16: Move your money to a small local bank or credit union that is *not* one of the “big” banks.
Believe it or not, the list goes on and on and on and I may do a follow-up with more. I am doing and/or have done *everything* on this list in full or in part. Many of you may say, “Oh Rob D, none of that can change the world.” BULL. *We are the majority*. I promise that we are. But we are complying and participating too much. Does anyone really think that these lunatics wearing giant diapers on their faces and screaming at the top of their lungs that we need to mask up and get shots or we’re racist or murderers are the majority? They aren’t. But I will say that, right now unfortunately, people *complying* are the majority. Why? What are we so afraid of? Is it really that hard to just live your life like we used to? NO! It’s easy. But to do that, we need courage. Who cares if someone screams at us for not “doing the right thing”? Just walk away.
I know many of you have your own lists of “things you’re doing” to say no as well. Do the same thing I just did. Post your list! Share what you are doing with your friends and family. It doesn’t have to be confrontational either. Don’t even tell someone why you do some of these things. Just say, “hey, you know I stopped buying produce from Wal-**** and now I’m getting my vegetables from “Joe’s produce” and I’m saving money.” You will possibly convert someone without their awareness. Haha! But you are “converting” them without malice and improving their lives at the same time.
We *can* change the world by just doing a few simple things. I promise it really is that easy. We human beings think “doing something” always has to be some lofty plan or running for political office. It doesn’t. If you are one of those who keeps asking, “What can I do?” you no longer have an excuse. I have provided a list of just a few simple things that you can do that really do make a difference. Especially if we *all* start doing *something* that serves as an act of rebellion against a system that is literally out to destroy us. I promise that the “build back better” plan these monsters are trying to implement will *not* be better. We must build back ourselves. We get to decide what kind of world we are going to pass on to our progeny. But we *must* start sacrificing before it’s too late. Make 2022 the year that you don’t make resolutions, but the year you choose to be resolute. The year you are going to do whatever small thing you can to practice liberty and freedom every single day.
This is awesome. Just found your substack, from your comment on el gato. El gato is great, but what we need the most, I think, are really practical suggestions, and lots of them. Nobody can think of everything; some of us need a lot of help coming up with practical dos and don'ts. So I encourage you to do more of this.
And you are a pretty good writer, incidentally.
I am very happy to report I've either been doing or started recently doing over 75% of your list. I haven't watched the news in years. I've found my life has become much less stressful. I grow several herbs, I only shop local and the list goes on. Some things on your list are new ideas for me. Thank you for so much great information, ideas and advice!
