Eating single ingredient foods only and prioritizing sleep would solve 99% of people's health problems. But like you said, we're slaves to comfort. We have become a nation of Jabba the Hutts.

Excellent comment. I often use bread as an example because it's the simplest: Real bread has 4 or 5 ingredients (depending on what type of bread one is making). I've yet to find any store-bought bread that has less than 10 ingredients and there are some brands that have up to 49 ingredients! For real!

I know! And the problem is that people (particularly old people) think bread is just bread. Actually, it's not anymore. If you try to point this out, you get dismissed as some overzealous health nut. People don't want to see.

America: A population of useless eaters eating all the poisons that the government introduces to them. 🤔

They are victims. So easy to be disgusted, but let's point the disgust finger at those who have CAUSED these problems, ON PURPOSE. So cruel. (Hi, B!)

Yep. They make junk food (fake food) cheaper, so the poorer people can afford it, which leads to the weight gain. Also, people working long hours and/or mutiple jobs don't have the time or energy to cook "real" food, also leading to weight gain. Kids left home alone while their parents work, don't know how to cook, or are too young to cook, so the same happens to them.

My mining schedule had me gone from home for 16 hours a day and I managed. I grew up farming and ranching and we would all be out from sun-up to sun-down in the good weather and we still cooked our own food from scratch. I disagree on the long hours and multiple jobs as being an excuse. Prioritizing what is important would be a good start in the right direction. What I definitely agree with you on Bandit is the price for convenience being less. But even then, it just *looks* like it costs less. I can still go buy the ingredients to make multiple meals for less than it costs to buy just one crappy convenience meal. I hope you take my minor rebuttal the right way. It's definitely not personal. I agree with you to a point but, like a lot of things, these inconveniences turn into excuses. The fact remains that people just don't want to do it. Where there's a will, there's always a way. This doesn't mean I don't have compassion for people stuck in these ruts. A dear friend of mine for 40 years is morbidly obese. She just can't kick the bad food habit. But, she's honest... when she went and had laparoscopic surgery she called me up and said, "Rob, I'm scared!" I asked why. She said, "because I'm getting rid of my best friend." (food) The surgery failed... she lost a bunch of weight, but still craved the poisonous and addictive convenience foods she had always been eating. Needless to say, she has gained all of the weight back and a whole bunch more on top of it.

Word, word, word!!! Well done.

If I, a foodist like yourself, were to give ONE bit of advice, it would be to STOP EATING THE SHITTY FATS. Rat now! The good fats taste better anyway. And they're GOOD for you. I tell anyone who will listen to eat like your great-grandparents ate: fresh, natural, "organic" food, with plenty of good fats -- butter, lard, coconut oil is fine, avocado oil, olive oil to a point. Bacon fat ROCKS, how can we refuse? Unless it's a religious thing.

I don't go to doctors... and I eat the way you describe. That's why I am healthy, too!

LOTS of fresh, raw veggies, meat (wtf is this "vegan" thing other than some kind of psy-op??), and easy on the carbs, but not eliminating them altogether... Diet is more to do with "natural" than it is with strictness... except for the Bad Fats, as you wisely pointed out.

I'm probably just repeating what you said, LOL. Well said, too. Cheers. ^_^

We are 100% on the same page. I typically eat what I like, eliminating the bad stuff though. I use butter and lard and all of the stuff my ancestors ate. It's amazing that "they" want us to lower our cholesterol all the time when our brain *is* around 20% cholesterol!

Yes, I love it when other people are "there," too. ^_^

Don't get me started on cholesterol... Talk about a scam!! And their EVIL, EVIL plan to "fix it"-- STATINS. That drug literally eats your brain lipids (fats)!!!! It is the CAUSE, the root cause, of so many people's descent into DEMENTIA. And it's the root cause of ALL MY FAMILY HELL, because I tried to stop my mother from being a victim of it. Brothers who actually REFUSED to look at evidence! They're in their own particular insanity...

Just as another little anecdote-- I NEVER go to allopathic doctors, but one time, right before COVID started, I had a mole on my back that I wanted removed. I went to a doctor I didn't know (of course!) to get a referral to a skin doctor. She took blood, just to look for possible whatever! And then tells me my cholesterol is a bit high and she'd like to put me on STATINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Geezuz H. Kripes. I knew better already. I looked her in the eye and said, "Absolutely not." smfh Did she know? I doubt it. It's not just the idiots who don't know things and do as they're told...

well, the doctors would like to tell them what they think.... "lose 150 lbs and you will feel better"

and same with the garbage food.

but they don't.

People are starving hungry all the time. Any time is time for a snack. When I was a kid I would ask my mom for snacks and she would cut up an apple.

Why are people so hungry all the time? I do believe it could have something to do with our body's dependency on garbage food. The more you eat, your body craves and need it.

People eat differently now. It could be pharma and their vaccines change metabolism.

Those huge people do not go to the doctor bc they are ashamed. I am sure.

Garbage food is empty calories. Real food has vitamins, minerals, proteins, etc. that your body needs to function. As used to be said, "It sticks to your ribs," meaning it stays with you. It's digested more slowly by your body. This means you don't need to snack to get additional calories to burn to be able to function.

It may very well also have something to do with EMF's. Insatiable hunger is a symptom; one among many. Symptoms of EMF's are not well-known. Yet.

you are right. Why don't scientists work on what is causing this change.

Every one is chubby now. eating crap food is acceptable. having a coke every day is okay

It seems like eating shitty is the new smoking - instead of nicotine stained teeth and fingers, we see bulging bellies and jowls, big chubby arms and legs, and huge boobs and butts.

Clothing manufacturers and pattern makers changed sizes. What used to be size 10 is now size 6, what used to be size 4 is now size 00. I was shocked to see a size 00 in Macy's some years ago

Most folks I come across are not willing to go all the way to the wall on this, but I believe there is a concerted effort, underhanded, to CULL the Earth's population. This idea that there are too many of us has long been around, nurtured by those who are now interested in Global govt (Tyranny), chipping our brains, we get no property, but 15-minute cities (uh huh)--- We've watched as they've lied to us over the years, one hellish tweak after another--- don't eat fats, spraying our food with toxins, fluoride in the water--among other nastiness, geo-engineering in our skies (and then on our food, in our water, not just in the air we breathe), schools are dumbed down, now they're messing with our children with inappropriate and disgusting nastiness and gender confusion... Well it's pretty clear to me that we are UNDER ATTACK. That's a difficult thing to have to think about day in and day out... Which is why I talk about it, because I WANT IT TO STOP. I want these people OUT of power. They have 90% of all the wealth of this planet. That's just wrong. I don't care what we've been taught to think about wealth caps--- and THOSE PEOPLE ARE TEACHING US! Time for a biiiiiig change. Gonna be bumpy, but our goal is HEALTH, VITALITY, KINDNESS, DECENCY and bringing NATURE back into our consciousness as OUR CREATOR. Mother Nature.... She's our friend, our maker, and she doesn't send killer pathogens through the air to kill us. I say, Bring Back Joy! (Oh, and I do think this obesity thing is caused by the kinds of fats we're having pushed literally down our throats-- seed oils? GARBAGE! Corn oil sunflower, safflower, cottonseed... all that is literally WASTE PRODUCT. And just like Rockefeller, wanting to find a way to profit from his waste product of oil refinement, we get the WASTE PRODUCT of these foods bottled and sold to us like their healthy. NOT! I tell people to eat like their great grandparents ate: bacon fat, lard, butter, olive oil, avocado oil, coconut oil. Skin on chicken. Meats. That's the story for fats.

Okay, you got my RANT for the week! ^_^ Happy Mother's Day! xo xo

Spot on Rosemary! In my 20's and even a bit into my 30's (and I am not kidding), I would go to McDonalds and get and extra large fries, a Big Mac, a Quarter Pounder with Cheese, AND a Filet-O-Fish and devour it all. An hour later I was starving to death. Fast food and processed food has very little nutrition. All it is is "empty" calories as they say. I wasn't overweight because I am fortunate to have a good metabolism, but if I was still eating like that now, I'm sure I'd weigh 400 pounds easily. This is a difficult problem we face in America. These foods are highly addictive. Add to that that many people are so bummed out all the time and they use this horrible food to make themselves feel better. I'm not sure what the answer is. I think we are going to be forced into making some drastic changes though... I don't know many poor people who can afford trip to a fast food restaurant anymore. I haven't checked, but I've heard that the prices are outrageous. Thanks for adding to the banter! :)
