I was in the military during the “Cold War.” I had heard very little of Russia (the Soviet Union or USSR) at that time in my life. I knew it was a giant country on the earth and I certainly could point it out on a map but, other than that, I knew nothing about it. Of course, from day one of Basic Training in the Army I was told that we needed to be ready for war with the Soviet Union. That “Ivan” was out to get us and at any moment we could all be obliterated by a nuclear bomb sent “from Russia with love.” I remember thinking fearfully, “How could I have not known about this terrifying enemy of America?” So, for my stint in the military I developed a brainwashed hatred for a country and a people I had never met. After numerous films about people standing in line for rations, mass graves, people who never had smiles on their faces and numerous other “snapshots” of the Soviet Union I knew that I just had to be on the right side. The side of good. After all, our commanders and platoon sergeants would never lie about something like this would they? The trusted “mainstream” media would never mislead me about any of these things, would they? Add to that the numerous “alerts,” exercises and other preparations and I was most definitely on the war path. I was ready to die to save America from this horrific boogey man that is the USSR! (And, to be honest, a lot of bad stuff truly was going on under communism in the USSR)
We all love to hate something or someone at times, right? It seems much easier to hate than love. To be in that special clique of “haters.” I have been thinking a lot lately about all the people, countries and religions we are all supposed to hate. We are supposed to burn with hatred for Donald Trump, Muslims, Blacks, Whites, Asians, China in general, Vladimir Putin, Ron DeSantis, Iran, Iraq, Syria, “anti-vaxxers,” “vaxxers,” Doctors, Lawyers, Hospitals, Naturopathic healers… hell, we are supposed to HATE everything and everyone except for the people, agendas, politicians, and programs we are told to endear and love. What the hell?
This brings me to a couple of figures that I would absolutely love to hate, but I cannot figure out how to hate them properly. You see, if I am going to hate someone or something I like to have a damn good reason to. Take, for instance, Donald Trump. I have never been a supporter. I read a few of his books in my younger years and appreciated some of the things I learned about managing finances from them, but other than that, I could care less. When he ran for President of the U.S. I remember many of the guys I worked with all in a lather about how he was going to be the best thing since sliced bread. They did not like when I would say, “I don’t trust him any more than I trust any other politician, especially a politician on the national stage.”
And then the hate started. I saw seas of women and men wearing “pussy hats” on the news and heard how this Donald Trump guy hated Gays, Blacks, Women, and a list of other groups and things that would take me forever to post. Hillary Clinton, a deeply flawed person herself, called people who supported him “Deplorables” and I heard all kinds of horrific things about this guy that I absolutely had no idea about. So, I started doing a bit of research because, to be honest, I wanted to hate and loathe this guy as much as anyone because I already have a distrust of politicians anyway. I could not find a legitimate reason to hate him. Was he perfect? NO. Had he made mistakes? Yep. Was he Hitler or the Devil incarnate? I do not think so. I just could not find any proof to justify a hatred for this guy as much as I wanted to. So, I moved on with my life and did not vote for him (I write in a candidate for El Presidente every 4 years) while hearing the haunting mantra of MAGA hatred anytime I accidentally heard any corporate controlled media.
The same goes for Vladimir Putin. We are absolutely supposed to loathe this guy. We are supposed to burn with hatred for him and the Russian people. Doing the same research I did regarding Trump I found some bad and good about him too. But do I “hate” him? Nope. Why would I? He has never done anything to me and is about 6000 miles or so away from America. I could care less what he does and believe that America should just leave him and the people of Russia the hell alone.
I must be honest here; I am kind of disappointed. I love to hate as much as the next person and I cannot find any reason to hate these two guys or any of the other people and issues that I am told to hate.
I am supposed to hate Christians who are peacefully praying outside of an abortion clinic. But why? They seem to have heartfelt beliefs and most of them seem to be willing and ready to help these women who feel like there is no other option. I am supposed to absolutely LOATHE anyone who wants to “Make America Great Again!” and here I am again… trying to figure out why? Those who seem to adhere to that mantra are some of the nicest people I have ever met. Maybe a bit misguided/naive’ about politics at times but, otherwise, salt of the earth hardworking and loving people. I am supposed to absolutely think that Black people are the scourge of the earth and that they all hate whitey and are out to get us but, seriously, my Godparents were black (RIP Bob and Bernice Bryant) and I have spent numerous hours attending black churches in my lifetime and felt more love and acceptance there than at many white churches I have attended. In other words, we are being told to; No, we are being *commanded* to HATE the good things… we are being commanded to hate the wrong things.
So, muster up some hate for the true enemies of our souls, our country, our races, our religions, and the beautiful way of life most of us have enjoyed here in America. We should hate (not wish ill on) people like Klaus Schwab, Bill Gates, George Soros, any surviving member of the Rockefeller clan, Larry Fink, the Chinese Communist Party, Vanguard, a couple of the *monsters* with the surname Rothschild, the megabanks and again, a list longer than my arm. These are the true enemies of the world. These are the people who have, quite literally, *told* us the evil they are planning for us. It’s all out in the open, but being covered up by vitriol spewed by politicians and the media that misdirect our “hate.”
I do not remember Putin, Iran, Iraq, Syria, or most of these other “enemies” we are told to shudder with hatred for shutting off the oil pipelines in America. I do not remember them demanding that we wear masks or take experimental gene editing shots in order to keep a job or travel, I do not see them flying the planes over America spewing aluminum into our atmosphere to “dim the sun” and “cool the earth”. I do not remember any of them demanding that we be locked away in our homes for a scary virus or for “the planet.” I do not seem to recall any of these people we are supposed to hate doing any of the things that has been done to us for way too long now.
I could continue, but I will not. I think you all get my point. The media and our government are playing a shell game with us. They are in cahoots to divert attention from them (the media) and the despicable politicians who are not speaking out or doing a damn thing to try and hold on to our Constitutional Republic.
So, I ask that this week we reevaluate our hatred. Let us always look carefully, do a bit of research and think critically before deciding who or what to hate in this world. Many times, after we search our hearts, we find that those people and things we have been told to hate are the very things we should embrace and love. Just a thought.
“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.” Samuel Adams
In general, I hate behaviors rather than people. In practice, there are a few people that I sincerely hate because there is no separation between themselves and their behaviors. Adam Shiff, Congressman from California comes to mind. He outright lied to the American people about Russian interference/collusion in the 2016 Trump campaign for President stating he had "evidence" supporting his claim. He did not and was proven a liar by the Mueller Investigation among others. He has not apologized or otherwise explained himself which makes Adam Shiff the human being one and the same as the actions/lies that he enacted.
I do not WANT to hate anyone, but I do believe my own eyes and ears and sometimes the appropriate response is to hate. That extreme emotion, in my opinion, is a survival emotion that should not be ignored.
There has been a conscious effort on behalf of toads like Soros and Schwab, and toadies like Justin Trudeau and Joe Biden, to divide society. With the help of the mainstream media, we are encouraged to hate anyone who might question the narrative, including friends, families, and certain politicians. Meanwhile in the background, the vile excuses for human beings that we should be paying attention to are attempting to impose their totalitarian state. They won't succeed however. They got too greedy too fast. More and more people are finally looking in their direction.
