Yes, I've had a couple of issues today as well with buttons on the site. Thanks for clearing that up as I really felt the same. If and when I do post something on the out of control technocracy I look forward to hearing what you have to say! Have a good one and thanks again for taking interest in my post. :)
Are you joking? Have you not heard of the shit in, shit out principle as it applies to computer programming? All your programmers are upper middle class males.
Haha. Definitely not the point I was attempting to make, but what an intriguing way to look at it. When I was studying in the early 1980's it was a bit more tame though. We called it GIGO. Garbage in, Garbage out. Thanks for reading!
Again, not the point I was making. I never said that we should trust any kind of robots or AI. I used the show as an example to compare with humanity, politics and players in society in general. . My piece was an attempt to show the similarities of humanity right now to things that went on in the series. The post had very little, if absolutely nothing to do with bots, AI or computers. Only what the show reminded me about things going on in the world, the people in the world and different factions in the world we live in. :)
Just replace the word Cylon and Human with whatever group you want. I don't believe in the left/right BS, but if it helps, just put the "left" or the "right" in either of the groups and maybe that will help people understand where I was coming from. Again... had nothing to do with "embracing tech" or anything of the like. Thanks again.
I'm not worried about Critical Race Theory at all. It's going to fail. Certain groups may hold on to being offended all the time because of the messaging, but over all race cannot and will not divide Americans. Our society is too pluralistic. People should wake up and see the bigger issues on the horizon, the all powerful imposing climate change lock downs, mandates, etc. Those will become the fox holes you are talking about.

Yes, great show, and I'd sign up to work with these Cylons anytime! :)

I kind of figured we were talking at cross purposes but thought I'd add it anyway.
Reply button below is not working. 2nd issue I've had with substack today.

I'll add some more. AI is roaming the internet which is full of bots and trolls paid for by billionaires.

I think I get what you're saying, though I've never watched Battlestar Galactica (old nor new).
Around our house we're more into Babylon 5 and Firefly.
