Those of you who will read this in it's entirety... please know, I either do, or have listened to many of the people that I mention in my post. I am certainly not saying we shouldn't listen... I'm just saying we need to not just excuse people for the things they do wrong just because they say a bunch of things we like to hear. We need to (IMHO) keep our memories sharp and we need to once in awhile listen to that imp on our shoulder when they say, "but didn't so-and-so say (fill in the blank) one time?" It is dangerous to worship any public figure. Public figure worship is, again IMHO, one of the reasons we are exactly where we are in this society. Ultimately, we can only trust ourselves and, in some cases, those who are closest to us, to never lead us astray. So, we can listen all we want to what public figures are saying. They say a lot of great stuff. But we always need to remember they are making a living doing what they are doing. We should ask ourselves, "If this person wasn't making their living doing this, what would they be doing?" That may, in some instances, tell us all we need to know...
100% Rob (c137). And, I'm ashamed to say, I just loved Mark Levin in around 2009 or so. I thought his views on the "Patriot" act were spot on. Ugh! But then I heard him say (and I'm paraphrasing a bit) about Ron Paul *and* those who supported Ron Paul that they were "kooks". Now, I'm not going to be a hypocrite and not criticize Ron Paul either, but I thought to myself, "man, Ron Paul says a lot of really good stuff about liberty, etc, so I guess I'm a "kook" too." I stopped listening to that monster that very day and have never listened again. Rob (c137), I try my best to listen to any of these people with a good amount of skepticism. I refuse to just ignore them when I hear them say something either flat out wrong, or something I disagree with. We have, for way too long now, given people a free pass when they step on it. And, again, *they are making money and in many cases getting rich doing what they are doing!* If they were doing it for free, I could overlook things much more easily. But they aren't. I better stop. Haha. Sorry for the mini rant. This subject gets me so riled up. I lose readers every time I post something like this, but I don't care. A true "awakening" means we are awake to all things. Thanks again for checking out my posts. :)
I always couldn't stand Levin because he had all the traits of narcissism. He cut people off, he ignored points made by callers and talked like he was the arbiter of truth. Rush Limbaugh was mild compared to him!
Going to a gifted high school helped me see that a lot of people who think they know something are really just full of shit and full of themselves.
I felt like I couldn't keep up, many of them went into finance and engineering... But that was the boom times where being "strong" on dogma was rewarded. I met a few of them a decade ago and it was funny to see that a lot of those that I sensed were full of shit (like Levin) were constantly trying to rake in support for their career or projects. Narcissism is no joke, it's embedded in our education and society.
Sometimes they hide behind science, sometimes religion, and sometimes politics/economics... 😂
Russel Brand, lol. All you need to see/know is video of Russel idolizing ultra-creepy Yuval Noah Harari and planting a kiss on the cheek, on that freak..
I can't stand Hannity I have not listened to Hannity in 20 years.
Mark Levin lives just up the road from me. He is getting a bit senile?? or something.
I remember when he hated Trump and pushed Cruz on us, back when I was walking the neighborhood and had headphones on to listen to blabber
I do not listen to too much commentary, most radio shows and tv as well, just too much repetition and two hours of the same subject.
I do not enjoy listening to Tucker.
One show I have listened to, just bc I hve XM in my car and would listen while driving with daddy, is Megyn Kelly?
In the afternoon drivng home I would listen to a great local radio show with a host by the name of Vince Coglianese on WMAL. Always an interesting discussion and he does not yammer on repeating the same crap over and over.
Oh and to add, I loved listening to Rush Limbaugh. He was just fun and funny and silly and Right!

I can't stand when these people are clearly wrong about something and won't admit it.
If they admitted they were wrong and changed, cool.
They're petulant children that aren't worth listening to.
Their audiences are just like them.
My father likes Levin and The parrot from Aladdin, Hannity because he thinks like them, a boomer mentality 😆 .
They are going the way of the dinosaur because their world view is mired in fantasy of the past.

serafino bueti, I had forgotten about that. I just threw up in my mouth a bit. lol.
My apologies, Rob.
I agree with you.
And-- I need money to agree with you.
HA HARF! Just kittings!
LOL.
I don't have any heroes or heroines.
When pushed to come up with one I used to say the Queen.
That's before COVID, before I woke up to that family.
Klaus Swab is good at red pilling, and the Queen knighted him.
Brilliant comment Cairn. :)
