The Mask

DISCLAIMER: I don’t claim to be a writer or a journalist. I’m just on older guy who has lived and observed life for quite awhile. My writing, when there is any, is mostly my opinion. So this mask thing. Personally, I’m sick of it all. Actually, the mandates really are horrific. People just blindly putting them on because they want to “get along” are even more horrific to me. The people who want to put them on because somewhere, somehow they may have heard or seen that they “keep you safe” well, even though that disgusts me as well, at least they are making a choice. Sort of.

How many of us are NOT “scared” of diseases or germs or bacteria but choose not to participate in “life” because we just literally can’t stand seeing a bunch of people wandering aimlessly wearing a giant useless diaper on their face? I’d wager there’s a lot more of us like that than one would at first imagine. My “mask wearing” days ended for good last year in July when I was the only person in a major airport who was NOT wearing the diaper. It was one of the scariest experiences I’ve ever had. I was, it seemed, the lone minority in the entire airport. My flying days and my mask wearing days ended THAT DAY. I’ve never put one on again. And they will have to beat the hell out of me like they do in other countries and literally force one on me for me to ever have something covering my face again. I’m willing. Not eager of course, but willing to endure that so that others can have the liberty of NOT wearing one.

I was in an occupation for 30 years that required mask wearing for different reasons. Not only were we trained yearly on the wearing of masks, but we were also *fitted* with the PROPER mask for certain tasks. The wrong mask DOESN’T WORK. The people shuffling around in society right now are wearing the WRONG MASK for disease. But they are wearing the *right* mask for obedience training.

So anyway, I won’t belabor this rant. Most people who would even read this post are more than aware of everything I said already.

Here’s a question, and the reason I wrote this: “After 10 or more years of wearing these ridiculous diapers and people still getting sick, people still dying of disease of various types, numerous bacteria and other self-induced disease from *wearing* these ridiculous culture symbols… will anyone finally start questioning WHY? Or will the media continue to persuade people it’s the “right thing”? After all, nothing I do works unless someone else does it too. My shots don’t work, my condom doesn’t work, my tampon doesn’t work, my umbrella doesn’t work, my IUD doesn’t work, my toilet paper doesn’t work (and so on and so forth) unless EVERYONE is using all of those items too. After all, I’m protecting myself with the sole intent of protecting someone else. That, my friends, is complete and utter insanity. Period.

I will NEVER forget seeing a female reporter wearing a giant diaper on her face practically sobbing about the Taliban taking over Afghanistan after the U.S.’s pathetic pullout; with footage of women wearing full burkas in the background. The mask is NOT just a mask.
