Just my two cents; Rather than preach to the choir I suggest that you change who you are talking to. It seems like you are talking to people who think like you, having the same doubts as you, same background as you. These people already appreciate you and your point of view but those folks ("the poor young people") who think "weirdly" need to hear your story, your motivations and your vision of and for the country (the people). Some people today "feel right" about the wrong things. I hear and read a lot of complaining but little of why we should be fighting what is happening. I hear and read a lot of woe is me but little extolling of the virtues of individual liberties and the values that bind us together. You have a voice that is easy to listen to. Young people like short bursts of information that mean something. Maybe mix up your pod casts with a long form monthly and a couple of 15-minute talks that get to a particular point relatively quickly and that it sticks in their minds.
Victor Davis Hanson wrote a few pieces on his childhood that were really lessons on values and having a meaningful life. I couldn't get enough of that. I think you could do something like that as well.
Anyway, please keep writing and doing the podcasts. We all need to hear your voice whether we know it or not.
Thanks for the valuable input and feedback Brian. It sounds like you know that taking on things like this is not easy. I don't mind preaching to the choir because I am pretty non-confrontational, but I totally get your point. As I replied to Rachelle, I would want to keep a podcast my own, go with my gut and what I think I should do. I've found that too many people worry too much about what others think we should be doing, no matter how well intentioned they may be. I'm a boomer that used to work with a *lot* of people in the 19 - 30ish age group and never had any problem discussing my views with them *and* more importantly, learning from them. We'll see what happens. Haha. This may be the last one, or one of many. I won't know for a bit yet what I want to do for sure. Thanks again for your kind advice and feedback.
You have a nice voice, cool podcast. You mentioned waking up around 14, that is also around the time I started to wake up when I read Dr. James Wardner's "The Planned Destruction of America" - as timely today as it was then.
Amen brother. I truly enjoyed this introduction. I do agree with a bit of what Brian said in his comment, but honestly, it kept me interested and I feel like you could deliver alot of hope to people. Especially the younger generation. I would absolutely listen to your podcasts and I think you should go for it.
With the amount of research you do to back up what you say, I think more and more people will support you.
Alot of us want to know these things, but don't have the time to do our own DD. So someone like you speaking to us, from all walks of life, may be just what we all need.
Thank you for the encouragement. As I mentioned, this was more of just kind of "testing the waters" to see how it sounds and kind of introduce myself. I'm not sure if I will do one or not, but if I do, I have plans to keep it my own and go with my gut. Thanks again for checking it out!
To me, there is nothing more American than pursuing the desires of one's own heart. Especially when they have, imbedded into them, the desire to help others.
