Good advice, Rob!

The same goes with any drama in life. let it go. We should choose activities that make our lives better, no matter who is president, who is ignoring you, who is engaging in bull shit (lots of ppl) and we must take care of ourselves and our loved ones. even though it is just me and hubbs and the cats. - okay I am nice to others but really, but sooooo many are annnnoyyyying.

I feel kinda bad about those living in that stupid war situation., They just want their lives back, heat and electricity. No one enjoys camping. Hubbs and I do not watch news or discuss it much either bc we honestly do not care. We are selfish and we are enjoying it. Just staying the heck out of news and fear and contention is great, keeps us out of trouble too.

Amen Rosemary. Great advice. And it's always good to see people who have "opted out" of living their lives on the edge of their seat as defined by media of any kind. Thanks for the comment! :)

This Ukraine war is mainly bullshit... In the beginning they were drafting people to 50 years old... Ok and Russia was killing 10 Ukrainians for every one Russian dead... Yet somehow they never run out of people? Oh wait they said they're getting 60 year olds, years ago and still not running out? GTFO

Meanwhile Russia still pumps gas through Ukraine.

And now more stupid bullshit... Putin says they're lowering the nuke response standard... To what? Nukes aren't even a good response to missle strikes... And it's already the standard if invaded they can threaten nukes. Why is Putin hyping shit up?

Fucking bullshit 1984 like war.

Keep people afraid of nuclear war. USA and Russia are doing a show.

You said in a couple sentences exactly what I would have liked to have said. Haha. Thanks Rob (c137). As always, great Robs think alike!

Agree, Rob, that the border war in the Ukraine epitomizes Major General Smedley Butler's 1935 essay, "War is a Racket". That conflict, like so many others, was, and is, being waged to generate obscene profits for the same people and organization that are enriched by all warfare. [https://www.ratical.org/ratville/CAH/warisaracket.html].

And I agree that Mr. Putin, as far as I can tell, is sane. Which may not be the case for who, or what, ever is pulling the strings of the current US "leaders". How can these beings possibly believe; how can they have convinced themselves, that they can destroy the US economy and culture, that they can do away with the rule of law, and morality - and somehow be personally exempt from the chaos that must follow?

And finally, I too, remember the drills, in the early 1950's, that required us to cower under our desks at school, as we listened to the "practice alert" air raid sirens. And I remember the magazine pictures of what was left of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. And asking what good it would do get under my desk. At six or seven years old!

Thinking back, that may have been the origin of my life-long very cynical world view.

Yes! Luckily the "bend over and kiss your bleeper goodbye" drills were being phased out when I was in grade school, but I vividly remember some of them. Kind of like the way they used to tell people to put their heads between their legs if the plane they were in was going down. LOL. Really? Nah, I just can't let this kind of stuff get me into a state of mind where all I do is worry. Unfortunately, I'm hearing many in the "alt" media pumping the fear lever. What good does that do any of us? In the military I did a 40 hour course on Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical warfare and, seriously, when it comes to nukes... there's not much a person can do. There's no much preparation that can be done. And, as I mentioned, there's not a thing in the world we can do to stop something like this. Maybe call a congresscritter? Thanks for your sage comment. As always. :)

Good post, Rob D.

You know, I just can't summon up any terror at all. I feel like I SHOULD, but it's not coming up.

I donut know why not... But, anyway, you know who Scott Ritter is?

Here's a film showing tomorrow... I forget where you are, but it's 1 pm PST (I'm in WA).

This is exactly why I stopped watching the news, reading the lies in papers and online. Some people think I am an idiot, but my life is in Gods hands. I feel if it is something that is going to affect my life, then somehow, someway, I will be given the path to take.

My life became way happier, and a whole lot less stressful when I made the choice to walk away from all the drama and just live one day at a time. I think the most information I get is right here with the Rumble Strip, So Keep on writing!

Turning off that news is a great way to live a sane life. Most people don't get it. Most don't realize it's not just the news, but the advertising for every kind of poison on earth that drags us down as well. Thanks so much for kind words and for being here.

Watching or even just HEARING the news puts me into a fury...

So I don't do it if I can help it. And I mostly can help it. ;)

Cheers.

Yes! If it doesn't change our actions, it's not worth thinking about.
