Just listened Rob. I can hear the passion and concern in your voice. When I read through the old prophets, the same tone can be felt in that writing. Knowing a curse is coming is a hard thing to say and hear, but God is both merciful and JUST. I love the merciful part. Sometimes I love the Justice part, when I don't feel His justice is aimed at me. But living in this morass of a country these days, I know His judgment can't and won't be spared, and myself, my family, and so many I care about may and probably will feel the ripple effects of that judgment.

I would argue we already are. Ultimately, I know God is my fortress and deliverer, a lighthouse in the storm, but even the fortress and the lighthouse have to endure the effects of the storms. I'm just pissed as a nation we're completely running with glee towards destruction, because we don't have to. Yet, time and again, throughout history, humanity has chosen that path, so this joyous march towards destruction doesn't surprise me. It just makes me sad and frustrated.

At this point, short of the living God clearly, unmistakably, and miraculously interjecting Himself into the current reality, hope in humans and our human systems is gone. But true hope does lie in knowing that God often does just that - appear and act when all other hope is gone. Yet His ways are not our ways, so what that means and what I want it to mean are often two very different things. I will continue to look for miracles, continue to prepare myself and my family, and wait on Him to deliver what He does best - salvation.

Beautifully stated BHerr. Thanks for listening. I agree with everything you stated in your comment and we are pretty much on the exact same page. The Old Testament is fascinating and clearly shows the rise and fall of a populace when they ignore "good" and just "do what's right in their own eyes." I, of course, believe that most of the stories are true in one form or another and, even if they aren't, we should certainly take the good, common sense "advice" seriously. Recently (after recording this) a friend and I were talking and I said to them pretty much the same thing I said in the recording, "God blessed America not because the government was good, but because the *people* were striving for good. We made the government obsolete because we behaved honorably for the most part." His eyes lit up and he "got it." Turning this hellscape around isn't impossible, but it definitely requires us to get back on track. I, like yourself, don't hold out much hope for that happening. In fact, if I'm being completely honest, I kind of don't want things to "get fixed" magically like they always have in the past. As horrible as things may get, I actually welcome the pain because, in my opinion, it's the only thing that's going to wake up those who still just don't understand where we are headed. Will they all wake up? Nope. They never do. But I believe there will be a lot that will. I'm getting a bit too old to start life over, but I am glad to do so if I can have good people like yourself and so many others who are awake and who will awaken beside me as we march forward and recreate this thing we call America. I truly believe it can be done. But man do we have our work cut out for us. Sigh. Thanks again for your support and I really appreciated your heartfelt comment.

It's nice to hear your voice. Pleasant.

I finally got around to listening to this. I admit, I stopped in the part about all the terrible things that will happen... I was raised Christian, but I am no longer religious. That said, I am spiritually grounded, and I do believe that Jesus was an enlightened being, a guru, if you will, a special and holy man. I think there are others like him, too.

I don't expect everyone to believe as I do, and I don't want others telling me how I should believe, or what I should believe. I think these things are deeply personal and private, in their root, at the deepest level. As Jesus said, and I may not get this exactly right, but... "When you pray, go into your room and shut the door." I think our true selves come forward in our actions, not in a set of rules we say we follow.

I've always been a free spirit, and I am glad we're not all the same, as how boring that would be!

So I am glad when I see people who are happy in their own skin and happy in their view of things of The Heart, and who trust in the Divine enough to know that we all come to our spiritual center in our own time, and on our own path, and we must learn our own way.

Simple, no? And yet... so complex. ^_^ My gran used to say "Life is Grand, if you don't weaken." There are so many ways to interpret that, I've found.

I'm glad you did this podcast, Rob, it was good to hear you, and to feel your love for Humanity.

Thanks for the comment and I agree with almost all of it. I won't debate anything in this format, as I said, I believe "religious" discussions are much better done face to face with people you have relationships with. You may like a few of my other podcasts as well. (I don't talk religion lol). Thanks again for stopping by. :)

As a Christian, I still believe in the importance of the Old Testament. As you said (paraphrasing here), Jesus said he was here on earth to fulfill the law. After all, as well as being the Son of God, he was also a practicing Jew.

People who are non-believers and totally secular claim that they can be good people without belief in God. It's true that most people (hopefully), religious or not, will try to do good. It's also true that some people who claim that they're religious are not. However, Western society was built on Judeo-Christian values. These values are behind our laws and expectations of how we are to treat others. As people move away from spiritual/religious beliefs, the values are eroded and lost. Unelected sociopaths now have the power to determine that "useless eaters" must be eliminated and the present society must be destroyed. This is done through euthanasia, abortion, infanticide, destruction of food sources, and a questionable medical procedure that they call a "vaccination". In public schools and libraries, children are being groomed by pedophiles, sometimes at the apparent encouragement of their parents, and immoral plastic surgeons are getting rich from transgender surgeries that will ruin many young peoples' lives. Racial strife is encouraged. Christians are being persecuted or even killed worldwide. We saw the discrimination and persecution of those who questioned and refused the "vaccination". People died while waiting for life-saving surgeries during the lockdowns. Now we are just starting to see the health consequences for those who took the jab. Some were co-erced but the results are the same.

I had to read Deuteronomy 28 for myself. It's pretty horrifying. Those that don't follow the Commandments will face starvation, illness, and enslavement by foreign conquerors, among other tragedies. They will even have to resort to cannibalism! It is a hellish existence.

Are we cursed? Maybe. By distancing ourselves from God and His commandments, we have to suffer the consequences of our actions (or inactions).

Some people believe that this is the beginning of the end times. We can't say for sure. Even Jesus didn't know the day or time.

I do have hope that we will learn from all that's happened over the past 2-3 years and will be able to change things for the better.
