Disclaimer: I am not an investigative journalist, a professional writer, a member of any media organization, or an “intellectual.” I am happy to provide links from time to time when they are relevant but, otherwise, I rarely will include links to any information. If one is reading this post, they have access to the same information I do and can most certainly do a websearch just like I can. My writing is opinion based on numerous alternative outlets I listen to and/or read and should be taken as such. Thanks!
A few days ago I received an email from Amazon.com from the “Amazon Product Safety Team.” The title of the email: “An important message regarding your order.” I did not feel the need to open this email right away as I had not (to my knowledge) been hurt by, or experienced any issues from, any products I’ve purchased recently (or ever for that matter).
Anyway, I got around to opening the email and there it was: “The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has informed us that the product listed may not meet the current mandatory or voluntary safety standards.” Come to find out, I had ordered a scary 10-pound bag of Gold Medal Unbleached All Purpose Flour last year (which has long since been consumed) because this flour has been recalled due to possible salmonella contamination.
Instantly my mind started reeling because I know that salmonella is not a deadly bacterium in most cases and we live with salmonella every day. We’ve been living with it from time immemorial. I would wager most of us have been infected by the salmonella bacterium at least once in our lives and didn’t even realize it. (Usually after dining out)
I did a bit of research only to find it is estimated that salmonella kills around 400 people a year in the United States. Oh, my Lord! Stop the presses. 400 out of 350 million. I mean, that is terrifying right? Salmonella can cause a tummy ache! And… wait for it… diarrhea! Heaven forbid we allow people to have loose stool!
Put that in contrast to the so-called covid “vaccines” which have (and I haven’t looked recently) killed at least 30,000 people, have maimed millions (7 of whom I know personally) and have destroyed the immune systems of untold millions and possibly billions of people worldwide.
I really don’t even know how to put into words how insane this is. The FDA will hurt businesses and cause incredible inconvenience to a flour manufacturer over something that can possibly kill someone, but won’t say a word about something that actually is killing untold numbers.
I’ve mentioned before I do not change my views on a product just because the FDA puts their seal of approval on it. In fact, in today’s upside down clown world, if the FDA says something is good, it makes me very skeptical.
I’m not sure where I’m going with this, but I think you all get my point. If you have been someone who suddenly trusts something just because the FDA waves their magic wand, you may want to take another look. The FDA was originally setup to ensure the ingredients in a product are what they say they are. They were never supposed to be approving and rejecting things based on a panel of bought and paid for monsters who typically have a history of working for the same industries they are making decisions about their products for.
Anyway, there’s my two cents. You be the judge. Here’s a quick poll:
And now for some housekeeping. I lost a couple of subscribers recently because of comments by some of my readers. I was so sad to see them go. I love free speech and will typically let people debate as much as they want in the comments. I believe different points of view are very important and I have personally learned things from reader comments. That being said, I just ask that you please stay civil. Please don’t ever turn the debate into personal attacks against the commenter you disagree with and please don’t start using expletives to try and make your point. Also, please stay on the topic of the post. I love all of you and want everyone to feel like what they say matters here. I’m glad my stack is small because here everyone gets to voice their opinion and not get lost and ignored like when you comment on one of the larger stacks. Thank you!
Good grief, if I listened to half the garbage that is said about food, I would starve to death because they claim something is bad about just about everything. I still remember when I was a young adult and heard on the news that tomatoes cause cancer. I still eat .
them and here I am, still healthy. Hmm
I belive in self perseverance and fact. I like to judge for myself in my own decisions and experiences. If eating that delicious cookie makes my stomach hurt, well, it was my decision, but its not going to stop me from eating cookies!
Governmental departments are all just a bunch of extra jobs for people who think they are special.
They do their government job, and that bears the results of "good enough"
Governmental departments have been elevated to a level that we are supposed to respect them, but really, remember people, these are government employees.
The FDA cautions us about eating india ink, house paint, stagnant water, and just other obvious things. hahaha
