You hit on a very important point. Things are falling apart, and they can't let people notice. Hence the increase in hysteria and distractions. If everything was business as usual, they'd be quiet and just let the wheels turn. They're afraid.
Agreed. "They" seem to be doubling down on trying to hurry and get some of the children indoctrinated before their entire house of cards falls. Thanks for stopping by! :)
Most American people of our generation got their ethics, morals and principles from Christianity regardless of denomination as they were/are all similar. When I was a kid, I didn't know of anyone who did not go to some church. Today, I'm guessing/remembering what I have read, about half of Americans attend church or claim an association with a particular Christian organization. As America fills with non-Christians and others stop believing in God, there will grow a need for a common set of ethics, morals and principles that apply to all humans if we want to live together in peace and maybe even advance the species, whatever that means. If there is a "falling apart" happening, it is likely due to the high speed at which change is being pushed and not that the changes don't have the long-term inertia. Something will fill the void left by millions abandoning traditional religion.
Brilliant observation, as always. And there are monsters lining up to be the next thing to fill that void. And what they are "preaching" is devoid of anything but fake virtue and loaded with collectivism. And, historically, we know that doesn't work. But... it takes a few generations before the people realize it doesn't work. I'm hoping I won't be around when it gets completely out of control because I would live in a perpetual state of disgust and frustration. Haha. Thanks Brian!
I am not a deist, but I am very much a spiritual person... I refer to my idea of the Creator as The Great Spirit, or simply "The Divine"... The term "God" has certain implications that are a bit off-putting to a word dog like myself, including an almost universal "but of course" attitude that "God" is MALE. No, lol, I'm not a gender dyphoric, but I question whether gender is even part of the equation... I question a LOT of things. But I was raised Christian and I still think of Jesus, even IF he wasn't a real guy, as an Excellent Teacher, and a friend. I don't really CARE what other people think, I care about what they DO. So, I'm just responding to your comment to assure you that not everyone who is spiritually inclined is necessarily "religious." There are many paths to the Mountain. And I agree with what you're saying. We are being crushed, but when we are AWARE of that action we can respond with our HEARTS. Cheers.
Rob D, I had to like this and then save it... things are crazy in my world right now, but seem to be getting better... Probably because I've stopped pushing against the forces that have been causing me a lot of trouble... Complex things, and it's just easier to say that I'm trying to just let go and let Dog... ha ha, my joke, but it's "Dog Almighty" as a term, and behind my silliness is a real spiritual path.
Awww. I have been keeping track of your woes. I don't comment on your posts about your personal issues because those issues are the type that no amount of "advice" can possibly pull a person from their grip. That being said, stand firm. Hold to your principles. The cliche' (which kind of sucks) of "this too shall pass" applies to your situation but it doesn't take away the pain and frustration while you are enduring it. Thanks for checking in. :)
And I am doing GREAT! I feel good, I feel FREE. And I have options. Friends are popping out of the woods, or wood work. I went to a shelter last night, and left this mornie b/c they want my 4th Amendment, and I see what's coming, so I'm outta there! Got a crash place tonight, too. Maybe for a while, maybe we go arf to Mexxies! ANYfing can happen.
