Awesome. I take the forgiving God any day over the corrupt "god" of rules and regulations!

I think that's a good choice as well. People so misunderstand what the Christian religion is really all about. Christianity is completely based on being *free* from the law of man. Thank you for contributing! :)

I think God of the bible’s laws were about how to be a good person. The government laws are about how to be an obedient person. And all hail the Karens who are the most obedient of all. I wonder what government heaven looks like.

Excellent comparison JJ. I'm thinking government heaven looks a lot like the U.S. capitol building...

Excellent, except, the Golden Rule Is a rule. Many people act like it is a suggestion. It is a Rule.

The "invisible" God has helped me out So many times in my 70+years it's incredible. I couldnt Not believin Him. He is not bound by logic.

Yes Eric... I would be dead right now if it wasn't for some absolutely amazing miracles that happened to me in my life. It sounds like you would have possibly been gone from this earth early as well if it hadn't been for your belief in the "invisible" God and had relied 100% on the fake god of this world system. Thanks for stopping by! :)

Canada is on the same path as the U.S.A. There is more and more government control and increasing censorship of what you can read and say. I think when people stop believing in the one true God, they have a big hole in their lives which they fill with materialism. Instead of looking to God for guidance, they look to their government which is, of course, full of flawed people who may have their own selfish agendas..

Yes! My wife and I think that this was why covid succeeded. People have no higher purpose, and they're desperate for anything to fill the void.

Yes FRI! When people fear death more than anything else and are tricked into believing that a bunch of flawed, corrupt, greedy, and (in some cases) downright demonic people are going to save them from said death they can be convinced to do almost anything. We witnessed it first hand didn't we? I found it was the people who had some kind of rational/hopeful belief system (regardless of the exact doctrine of said system) that did the best during "covid". They were the least fearful, the most joyful, and the most hopeful through it all. (And the most willing to see through the phoniness and say NO as well).

I don't believe in any god but your point is valid. A loose ten rules is far preferable to a never ending list of laws. Everyone is an individual and the law attempts to place a one size fits all approach to life. We so often mistake what is legal with what is right.

Thanks for your input Dollyboy. I tried not to sound uber "religious" in my post and was definitely just trying to make a point of how mixed up we have become as more and more people reject true "religion" or belief systems and replace them with the "one size fits all" government god. You summed it up perfectly. :)

There's an alternative to this dichotomy. No need to believe in an individual god, but to see nature as god. A miraculous system that serves life and death in balance.

Amen,

It is that simple.

This invisible God has shown His self to me in many ways over the years.

No Am not claiming any "special abilities" .

Just recently was having a difficult time of it.

Things got bad and things got worse, you know that tune.

Stuck here wallowing in my own sin shame and guilt.

Yeah even still after many years of trying to be like my Father who is perfect.

Ugh ,this man falls way way short of the Mark of His high calling.

So any way while was wailing and thrashing about on my back porch in the middle of another lonely night.

Was slammed up against the wall hard.

Not sure if it was a fall or was pushed.

No one else was there.

But with my back against the wall heard a voice and said guilty as charged.

Was about to be nailed to the beam.

A spirit came in fast like a ghost.

Stepped in front of me and said NO, take this mans guilt away!.

Then It was all gone.

When first began this journey way back did think repented and chose Jesus.

Did but had no idea of how complete my own evil nature was.

Sure was a rascal but not that bad!.

LoL.

After 40 plus years that recent night showed me the depth of my own evil nature ,

Always evil always seeking to satisfy my carnal desires for pleasure at all costs.

No hope standing in condamnation already with a death sentence.

He stepped in while am yet a sinner and continues to work out my salvation with fear and trembling.

So be strong in your faith with the invisible one.

Make a straight path for him.

He will come and sup with you.
